The Dems are ready to flex their appeasement.

Speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is co-sponsoring the “End Racial Profiling Act”. The proposed bill is said to have been prompted by the recent removal of six Muslim imams, who are reported to have acted in a decidedly provocative manner, from a US Airways’ flight. The other co-sponsor of the bill is Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) who is also preparing documents to lead to Articles of Impeachment against President Bush. Pelosi and Conyers are calling for the end of all racial profiling, additional severe limits placed on the Patriot Act and the implementation of broad-based US citizenship for illegal immigrants.

Ms. Pelosi. The imams were not pulled form the plane because of their race. They were pulled from the plane because of the following:

• Witnesses said three of the imams were praying loudly in the concourse and repeatedly shouted “Allah” when passengers were called for boarding US Airways Flight 300 to Phoenix.

• Passengers and flight attendants told law-enforcement officials the imams switched from their assigned seats to a pattern associated with the September 11 terrorist attacks and also found in probes of U.S. security since the attacks — two in the front row first-class, two in the middle of the plane on the exit aisle and two in the rear of the cabin. “That would alarm me,” said a federal air marshal who asked to remain anonymous. “They now control all of the entry and exit routes to the plane.”

• Three of the men asked for seat-belt extenders, although two flight attendants told police the men were not oversized.

• Rather than attach the extensions, the men placed the straps and buckles on the cabin floor, the flight attendant said.

• Witnesses told law enforcement that the men spoke in Arabic and English, criticizing the war in Iraq and President Bush, and talking about al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.

• The imams who claimed two first-class seats said their tickets were upgraded. The gate agent told police that when the imams asked to be upgraded, they were told no such seats were available. Nevertheless, the two men were seated in first class when removed.

• A flight attendant said one of the men made two trips to the rear of the plane to talk to the imam during boarding, and again when the flight was delayed because of their behavior.

None of this behavior has to do with ethnicity. They were not racially profiled. They were profiled because of their suspicious and unwarranted behavior. If the men were black, brown, yellow, green or purple in color and behaved in this suspicious manner, they would have been pulled from the plane, too. Ms. Pelosi, your blatant ignorance of what is at stake here for the sake of serving your god of political correctness, will endanger not only the flying public but the families of all Americans with your ‘anti-racial’ bill.

These imams were practicing neither ethnic behavior nor religious behavior. They were practicing an ideological behavior, an ideology that they have sworn to advance in this country with the goal of intimidating, infiltrating and creating misinformation to advance their Islamist agenda. It’s time you and your fellow Dems wake up to this dangerous fact.

That’s right; the US government is helping to train terrorists on our tax dollars. From DAFKA.

• It’s now out that the American security coordinator in the territories, General Keith Dayton, has been giving secret training to the Palestinian Presidential Guard. It’s part of his program to provide “support” to the Palestinian Fatah faction in its internal struggle with Hamas. The initial training was conducted by American military instructors in a military camp near Jericho, for some 400 men. And now Dayton has asked the Quartet to put in place a program that will have Egyptian, British and perhaps even Jordanian instructors to train the force loyal to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, helping it to grow to some 6,000 men. Dayton seems to have managed to help his masters forget the history of the Presidential Guard and its elite Force 17 unit, and is probably hoping that the Quartet will also have a spot of amnesia. He has also sidestepped the conclusions of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank that, before the addition of more than 35,000 troops in the last three years, the Palestinian Security Services were overstaffed, out of control, and an insurmountable burden on the Palestinian economy. Of greater concern, though, is that Force 17 is well known for its involvement in terror activities.

Yep – it seems once again, America is training future terrorists.

A couple of weeks ago, Michael Novak wrote in the Weekly Standard, “If I were an Islamist, a terrorist, a sworn foe of democracy, here is what I think I would have learned from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. This is what I would write down in my hard-earned manual of instruction.”

His article goes to list the things that the Islamists have learned to defeat the USA in future wars. Here is some of what they learned.

• Today, the purpose of war is sharply political, not military; psychological, not physical. (Correct. As I have said, this war is currently over men’s minds not geography.)
• Warfare is not, these days, won on a grand field of battle. Nor is it won by the force that wins series after series of military victories. Nor is triumph assured by killing far higher numbers of the enemy. The primary battlefield today lies in the minds of opposing publics.
• The main strategic aim of war today is to dominate the mind of the enemy’s public, and then ultimately to dominate the mind of that public’s leaders.

He gives examples.

• At what moment did the war in Vietnam come to an end? At that precise moment when America’s leaders decided that they could not resist the unrelenting storyline of the enemy, which had long prevailed in their own press. The press surrendered first, then the leaders of the nation.
• Observe that the Cold War ended not in an explosion of unprecedented violence, but rather at the precise moment when the Soviet elites no longer believed their own storyline. Superior ideas cowed them, superior will, superior narratives.

And what about our current storyline?

• The weaker political will yielded to the stronger will. Yet, as always, will followed storyline. First comes narrative, then the acts that give it flesh in history. What we have discovered in Iraq is the weakest link in the ability of the United States to sustain military operations overseas. That link is the U.S. media. They are Islamists’ best friends
  
  

I’ve spoken about this before. The MSM believes it no longer represents a nation or a particular culture. They see themselves as above all national interests and reports the news as if it were a global news entity. In the process, Novak invokes Maxim # 1: To defeat America, impose upon the imagination of its media your own storyline. Andin t heir rush to be all news to all people, the MSM forgets that in this struggle between civilizations, there is a side that does not represent the best interests of the free press. You’d think they’ve learned that lesson from the Mohammed cartoon controversy. But no, locked in the mental chains of political correctness, they are “fashioning nooses with which to hang us from the hemp of multiculturalism and tolerance”.

• Besides, brothers, there seems to be a psychological tic in the minds of American journalists, which prevents them from understanding that our terror is ultimately aimed at them. Today, yes, they think it is aimed at their government, and will cripple their political opponents within that government. Without qualm or fear, therefore, they do the Islamist’s bidding day after day. Willingly, gleefully, with much self-congratulation, they pump the Islamist storyline into the bloodstream of the Western public.

In a Think-Israel piece entitled “Can the West Defeat the Islamist Threat? Here are 10 Reasons Why Not” by David Selbourne, the idea of a strong storyline as a weapon comes up again. He speaks of the West’s storyline of freedom and liberty and the doctrines of market freedom, free choice and competition which have made the West’s economies the best in the world. But when it tries to stand up to the Islamist’s storyline, freedom and liberty produced kinks in the armor that the Islamists use to undercut the many success the West’s culture has achieved over the last few hundred years.

• The seventh reason lies in the moral poverty of the West’s, and especially America’s, own value system.

He means that our freedoms have produced excesses that the prurient values of the Islamist can live with and will not live with because they see the classless side of our culture and feel theirs is far more superior while at the same time blind to the stagnation and constipation of t heir own culture. Or, as Sheikh Mohammed al-Tabatabi told thousands of worshippers in Baghdad in May 2003: “The West calls for freedom and liberty. Islam rejects such liberty. True liberty is obedience to Allah.”

If we’re to win this clash between civilizations we need to tighten our storyline and then aggressively purser it both in our culture and society and advance it as a weapon against the Islamists.

The cold war had its anti-communist movement and now we have a proposal for an Anti-Islamofascism Movement.

Dr. Jack Wheeler over at To the Point news is pleasantly surprised at the response to their memo calling for The Creation of an Anti-Islamofascism Movement. The memo has gone “viral,” with blogs reproducing it all over the Internet. Dozens of groups have contacted Jack and his partner Steve Baldwin wanting to cooperate and participate. They have lost count of the number of supportive emails.

Folks, we have a phenomenon here. It won’t be long now before we have a movement with an organized infrastructure dedicated to identifying and targeting the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of the Islamofascists. But as this is being built, people are impatient to start doing something now. So we are proposing an action program called Sharia Watch. There will be a Sharia Watch website up soon coordinating folks’ participation across the country, but in the meantime, you can engage in a Sharia Watch on your own in your community. An umbrella organization is being formed called The Coalition to Preserve Civilization, which will help enable all those involved in the emerging Anti-Islamofascism Movement and keep them informed of everyone else’s activities.

The way to get involved until that umbrella organization gets going is to join The 910 Forum. Here are the highlights of the Anti-Islamofascism Movement.

Already, the Islamofascists have a beachhead in Western Europe. According to demographic experts, Europe will become Islamic in a generation - and it’s not the moderates who hold sway in the Islamic communities in Europe. If these numbers are translated to political power - which undoubtedly will be the case - it will have dire consequences. The Washington Times reports (11/21/06) that Russia is well on its way to becoming an Islamic country. Within eight years (by 2015) over half the soldiers in the Russian Army will be Moslem. By 2020, over 20% of Russia’s entire population will be Moslem. Couple this with the increased presence of Islam in Africa and Latin America, and there is a distinct possibility that America, within a generation of two, will

But we don’t seem to be prepared for this war. Unlike the movement created during the Cold War, there doesn’t seem to be much of an infrastructure to combat Islamofascism. Jack and Steve go on to say: If we truly care about our children and grandchildren, then we must create an infrastructure modeled after the Anti-Communist Movement. Here are a few areas off the top of our heads that an Anti-Islamofascism Movement could be addressing:

• Investigate radical mosques.
• Support Anti-Islamofascist freedom fighters.
• Thwart attempts to impose Sharia Law.
• A Rapid Response media team to stand up to Islamic bullying.
• Form an Anti-Islamofascist publishing network.
• Create an Anti-Islamofascist portal on the Internet.
• Establish an Anti-Islamofascist Speakers Bureau.
• Monitor the billions now being spent on Homeland Security.
• Wage an ideological assault on Islamofascism.
• Support the Chinese Christian Back to Jerusalem project to evangelize Moslems in Europe and the Middle East.
• Create a Global Anti-Islamofascist Coalition.
• Reframe the illegal immigration issue as one of national security.
• End our dependence on foreign oil that’s funding the Islamofascists.

MADRID (Reuters) - A school in traditionally Catholic Spain has cancelled Christmas celebrations so as not to offend children who are not Christians, ABC newspaper reported on Wednesday. The Hilarion Gimeno school in Zaragoza said teachers had put forward various reasons for not celebrating Christmas, but ABC said the worry was that Muslim children might be upset.

What about the Christians who were upset? Oh, that’s right. Those vicious Crusaders beliefs shouldn’t be honored.

The school will not put on a nativity play or hand out presents, but pupils will be free to decorate the halls and sing carols.

Good little dhimmies.

“We are educators and we want our school programme to advance the personal development of our students as much as possible,” the school said.

And how would banning the most important icons of Christmas ‘advance the personal development of students”? I don’t catch their logic. Or maybe multiculturalism is not logical? Hmmm….

“India is moving ahead but majority of Muslims continue to live in poverty, superstition, insecurities in the collective shells of their ghettoes, not only in India but also throughout the world. This reality will not change by mouthing slogans and blaming others for Muslim underdevelopment.”

This quote comes from a review of a committee report by a Retd. Justice Sachar in India. The report is enlightening placing the fault of Muslims living in India to progress in one of the fasted growing economies in the world. So, who’s responsible for the backward state of Muslims in India? This litany of reasons apply to all Muslims in all non-Muslim countries who refuse to assimilate.

• EDUCATION: If even the most illiterate and poor Indian believes that the govt schools are open for everyone and modern education can bring about change and prosperity to their lives, why Muslims still prefer to shy away from education or send their children to Madarsas, where all they learn is ‘majhabi’ education? In these Madarsas, no vocational training is given and those coming out of them are fit for becoming Islamic teachers only.

• MISPLACED PRIORITIES: Do Muslims ever object to Haj subsidy and insist the govt to open schools and hospitals for them from this money? Has the Muslim society ever questioned the failure of the Muslim leadership to use the huge funds it receives from abroad to build modern schools and colleges for them, instead of mosques?

• EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE FOR MUSLIMS: When job opportunities –in govt, private sectors, Armed Forces and judiciary– are equally available on the basis of merit only, how can anyone claim that there’s discrimination against Muslims? How come so many Muslim actors of the Mumbai film industry have been able to conquer the Indian audience if there is discrimination against them? The industry doesn’t care about how well the candidate knows the Koran, the hadiths and other Islamic things. If the Muslims bothered to study things other than religion, then they stand a much better chance of getting jobs. And, if they’re educated, they stand a better chance of getting a loan from the banks for their business.

• FEMALE EQUALITY: When female literacy and education is becoming increasingly important throughout the world, why 50% of Muslims are not getting their rights of equality by the Muslim society? Muslims don’t want to give equal rights to their womenfolk, who’re constantly under attack from their patriarchal family heads. Muslim women are not allowed to educate themselves, are forced to drop out of schools, are married off early, are not allowed to use family planning methods to limit their families and are under constant threat of divorce.

• FAMILY PLANNING: When every strata of Indian society are adopting family planning, why Muslims find it against their religious laws and continue to live in poverty due to the large size of their families and supporting the thesis that Muslims want to outnumber others by fast-breeding?

• HEALTHCARE: When every Indian is adopting modern healthcare to enhance the quality of life, why Muslim society adopts superstitious stance on health programs like ‘Pulse Polio’?

• NOT MERGING WITH MAINSTREAM: Muslims don’t merge with the mainstream of majority society anywhere they live and are conspicuous by their dressing habits, special food habits, beards, skullcaps, 5-times Namaz and their insistence on veils for their womenfolk even in this 21st Century. Muslims don’t want to bring about social changes in their society and any efforts by any well-meaning ones, including those within, is rejected as an encroachment and insult to their religion. No wonder that even in liberal countries in Europe and USA, Muslims are considered anachronistic and out of touch with modernity.

• OTHER MINORITIES HAVE NO PROBLEMS: Why other minorities like Parsis, Jains, Sikhs, Christians and Buddhists never complain about discrimination? Why is it that other minorities do not find any problem in getting access to education and jobs either in public or in private sector? There is no reservation for these classes of people in Government or public sector jobs and yet they are rubbing shoulders with the majority.

Hand this to a Lefty Dhimmicrat or Islamist Muslim next time they claim that Muslims are being discriminated against and are an oppressed minority.

A recent post at IBA, “The Thud Heard Round the World” by Atlas Shrugs brings up a worrisome idea. Do the Islamists smell blood in the water? Look at the recent aggressive actions by Islamists over the last few weeks and the think about how the aggressiveness has increased logarithmically over the last few decades.

Muslims, driven on by the Islamist agenda are flexing their muscles and intimidating the non-Muslim world more and more to accommodate to them. At the same time declaring that non-Muslims are intolerant when they react negatively to the intimidation here and here, while smiling when non-Muslims resign themselves to dhimmitude.

It seems tolerance goes only one way. How tolerant of the fears of passengers where the six imams who were removed from the flight because they stood up and made a very public display of their nightly prayers? Where was the sensitivity to those on the plan who saw a Muslim praying and feared it was in preparation to kill himself – and everyone around him? And how tolerant was the Muslim lawmaker who ranted and raved at a waiter in Manila and had him fired?

The apologists for this rude and intolerant behavior hope that moderate Muslims can rein in their errant brothers and sisters and that a reformation of Islam is the answer. Many on the right also see this reformation as necessary and, if an when it ever happens, we may have peace between Islam and the non-Muslim world. I and others have written about the need for an Islamic Reformation.

But what if it already happened?

Militant jihad is just one of tactics used by the Islamists to advance their agenda. Islamic Ideological Jihad in the form of cultural jihad is a potent weapon against the non-Muslim world.

Everyone who has been paying attention to the progression of Islamic ideological jihad being waged against the West over the last two decades should not be surprised at the response by CAIR, Islamic leaders, and of course, the media to this event. Mark my words: the plight of the Muslim leaders aboard U.S. Air Flight 300 will be a defining moment in the asymmetrical war in which we are engaged – a water shed event for the tactic of the insidiously effective tool known as Islamic ideological jihad. Expect the fallout from this event to be wide and deep, with the liberally biased media carrying the torch of “Islamophobia” to new heights…….. The tactic here, whether intentional or as a consequence of the “outrage,” will serve to shift the focus away from the threat posed by Islamic terrorism to the unfair treatment of Muslims. In wartime, (and we are at war, whether you believe it or not) this shift of focus will provide those having evil intentions against the United States to operate in a less constricted manner. Whether you believe that this is the intention by those registering objections and outrage, it will nonetheless be the result.

This ideological jihad has its roots in the Muslim Brotherhood and the “project’ that they have been pursuing for almost 100 years. Could this be the reason for the regression of Islam over that few generations? Could it be that this was the Islamic reformation? As Mark Steyn said in his new book America Alone, “We… talk airily about ‘reforming’ Islam. But what if the reform has already taken place, and jihadism is it?”

The Catholic Church had it reformation and it produced Protestant-ism. The Islamic reformation started by the Muslim Brotherhood and its supporters produced Islam-ism.

This quote is from the Muslim Manifesto: A Strategy for Survival used to create the Council of British Muslims to act as “a Muslim parliament” in the very same nation that gave us the Magna Carta, detailing the rules of property rights and individual freedoms.

Britain’s Muslim Manifesto made it clear that “Political and cultural subservience goes against their grain” because “at its inception Islam created a political platform from which Muslims were to launch themselves on a global role as founders of great states, empires and a world civilization and culture.” According to the UK’s Muslim Manifesto, “The fact is that a Muslim woman cannot be a western woman.” The problem for Muslims in Great Britain was that “There are laws on the British Statute Book that are in direct conflict with the laws of Allah.”

Can it be made any clearer?

“We are Muslims first and last.” “Jihad is a basic requirement of Islam and living in Britain or having British nationality by birth or naturalization does not absolve the Muslim from his or her duty to participate in jihad: this participation can be active service in armed struggle abroad and/or the provision of material and moral support to those engaged in such struggle anywhere in the world.” “Islam is our guide in all situations.”

Assimilation, according to the Manifesto, wasn’t even an option. Why need it be? By the early 1990s, there were already about 1,000 mosques in Great Britain, many of them former Anglican churches that had been abandoned and sold to Muslims.

As is the case of France today, the Manifesto recommended that “The Muslim community may have to define ‘no go’ areas where the exercise of ‘freedom of speech’ against Islam will not be tolerated.”

We’ve been warned.

A leading children’s publisher has dumped a novel because of political sensitivity over Islamic issues.

Scholastic Australia pulled the plug on the Army of the Pure after booksellers and librarians said they would not stock the adventure thriller for younger readers because the “baddie” was a Muslim terrorist. A prominent literary agent has slammed the move as “gutless”, while the book’s author, award-winning novelist John Dale, said the decision was “disturbing because it’s the book’s content they are censoring”. “There are no guns, no bad language, no sex, no drugs, no violence that is seen or on the page,” Dale said, but because two characters are Arabic-speaking and the plot involves a mujaheddin extremist group, Scholastic’s decision is based “100 per cent (on) the Muslim issue”.

Now contrast that with this. Hold your cookies. Derranged mind at work.

This decision is at odds with the recent publication of Richard Flanagan’s bestselling The Unknown Terrorist and Andrew McGahan’s Underground in which terrorists are portrayed as victims driven to extreme acts by the failings of the West. The Unknown Terrorist is dedicated to David Hicks and describes Jesus Christ as “history’s first … suicide bomber”.

Who are these people?! What are they thinking?

In a shocking interview with the Jerusalem Post, UN High Commissioner for Human (Arab) Rights Louise Arbour implies that Israel is more culpable than Hezbollah for civilian deaths during the Lebanon war. This despite the fact that Hezbollah intentionally targeted civilians while Israel did not. This despite the fact that Hezbollah used human shields while Israel did not. Asked by the Post if there was a distinction under human rights law between missile attacks aimed at killing civilians and military strikes in which civilians are unintentionally killed, Arbour said the two could not be equated.

“She claims that accidental deaths caused by Israel are more criminal that the intentional deaths caused by Hezbollah.”

In her never ending quest to vilify Israel, Arbour knows no boundaries. She visits the relatives of dead terrorists while refusing to meet the relatives of kidnapped Israelis. She is willing to hang the victims and exonerate the criminals. Louise Arbour is truly a shining star of the UN.
